Google AdWords was the original name for Google\u2019s online advertising platform, launched in 2000. In 2018, it was rebranded as Google Ads, reflecting a broader range of ad formats and placements across Google\u2019s properties. The platform allows businesses, nonprofits and agencies to create ads that appear in Google Search results, on YouTube, within Gmail, across the Google Display Network and in mobile apps.
