ReviewStudio

Reimagining Creative Collaboration

ReviewStudio provides users with an intuitive and easy-to-use platform for collecting internal and client feedback all in one place.

About

ReviewStudio was founded in 2014 by a team of art directors and creatives who needed a better way to review and get approvals on creative project elements for faster and more efficient turnarounds—especially for teams that span multiple countries and continents. The result was software uniquely suited to teams looking for a better way to collaborate on creative workflows.

The Mandate

We were approached by ReviewStudio to develop their website and provide design support on their rebrand. Some months after the successful launch of their new website, they were acquired by Storyteq. As part of the acquisition, we were tapped to do another rebrand to bring ReviewStudio’s branding and website under Storyteq’s larger umbrella.

The Challenge

ReviewStudio approached us because they didn’t just need a site that looked good, they needed a website that supported their larger marketing efforts. We needed to provide a seamless user experience while also facilitating conversions, conversion tracking and analytics.

After their successful acquisition by StoryTeq, our goal was to bring ReviewStudio’s branding in line with their parent company without sacrificing the design and functionality of their website—and get it done in a relatively short time frame.

The Approach

From the beginning, this was a collaborative effort. We worked hand in hand with ReviewStudio and an outside designer to develop the look and feel of ReviewStudio’s branding. We focused on designing the information architecture and UX, building the WordPress theme and implementing deep conversion tracking and analytics for detailed attribution.

After the acquisition, our priority was adapting the look of the website and branding to conform to Storyteq’s brand guidelines. The work we’d done developing the website made changing up the look of it a straightforward process requiring minimal adjustments to the layout and functionality of the site.

ReviewStudio Rebranded

Designing the Look and Feel

For this rebrand, we collaborated with an outside designer. We were primarily tasked with adapting their brand design to apply it to the website we were building. Part of that work involved providing extra support from our inhouse designers to ensure that all elements of the website were in line with ReviewStudio’s new brand guidelines.

A New Website to Support the Larger Marketing Machine

The website was to be a primary driver behind ReviewStudio’s marketing machine. We developed a website that was CRO optimized, user-friendly and enabled detailed analytics and conversion tracking. We delivered a website that empowered ReviewStudio with the data they needed to make informed marketing decisions.

  • Information Architecture
We designed a website that provides the user with easy access to the information they need. As our overall goal was to create a website that would generate sales for ReviewStudio, it was important that the UX be as frictionless and user-friendly as possible. To that end, we designed a nav that clearly outlines the hierarchy of information and directs the users quickly to the information they’re seeking.
  • Implementing Better Analytics and Tracking
With ReviewStudio’s focus on maximizing signups to their platform, it was important that they have the tools to track conversions and traffic to the site. A large component of that was implementing UTM tracking throughout the site to ensure proper attribution. This empowered ReviewStudio to make data-driven decisions about their future marketing efforts.
  • New and Improved Blog
A major component of the website was the blog section. ReviewStudio was and is committed to producing content that inspires and informs their customers. For this section, we developed a separate nav with the different categories, making it easier for users to browse and navigate their extensive content library.

Bringing ReviewStudio Under a Larger Brand Umbrella

Coming soon after the successful launch of the website, ReviewStudio was acquired by StoryTeq, which required a brand alignment with their new parent company. We were very well positioned to rebrand them with a quick turnaround. The bulk of the work entailed adapting the website and brand collateral to reflect the brand guidelines of their parent company. We took this opportunity to make some small adjustments to the website, but overall the original website was easily adapted to the new look and style.

  • Updating Branding
Working from Storyteq’s brand guidelines, we were able to clearly illustrate the relationship between ReviewStudio and their parent company. The website retained its overall design and functionality while looking right at home with Storyteq’s other products.
  • Adapting the Existing Website
With every website we develop, our aim is to provide our clients with adaptable and scalable sites that can change and grow with them. This project was no exception. Our attention to detail and build quality allowed us to adapt the website without the need to make major changes.

Thirdwunder is the one agency I’ve brought with me across a variety of projects for well over the last decade. They’ve consistently delivered projects that allow my team to function at a higher level.
