369 Global Turning Policy Research Into Public Momentum ringing 369 Global’s plan for Canada’s skills gap to the people who can act on it. » What We’ve Done » 369 Global Skilling Web design and development Custom WordPress build on WunderTheme, fully responsive Information architecture 16 policy recommendations restructured across 7 shareable tracks Content and UX Interest-led navigation designed for how people actually read policy Localization Fully bilingual, English and French, structured in from the start About the Initiative Ninety-three thousand jobs, and a plan to fill them Canada is carrying nearly 93,000 unfilled positions in health care and social assistance, while only 12 per cent of the economic immigrants it accepts hold a college certification. 369 Global’s answer is the Global Skilling Centre: a Canadian-run training centre operating abroad, teaching Canadian-designed programs so graduates arrive ready to work on day one. They built the research, the employer coalition, and 16 policy recommendations, then launched all of it in Ottawa. 93,000 Unfilled positions in health care and social assistance across Canada 25,000 Shortfall in the cyber workforce, projected to reach 100,000 by 2035 12% Share of economic immigrants holding a college certification 4% Share of economic immigrants holding a trade certification The Mandate Good policy only counts if it reaches the people who can act on it The research is thorough, sourced, and built to hold up under scrutiny, which is exactly why it deserved an audience larger than the room where it was first handed out. Our work was to make that depth reachable: on a phone, through a search, and in pieces small enough to send to a single colleague. The full report stayed one click away for anyone who wanted every citation, so nothing was lost, only opened up. Read anywhere The full case, restructured for a phone screen, so it holds up in transit or between meetings Findable Individual pages for individual subjects, so a search for offshore vocational training lands on the answer Shareable in parts Each policy area lives at its own address, so a supporter sends one recommendation instead of a 37-page attachment Still downloadable The complete report stays available for readers who want every source and every footnote Sixteen recommendations, and the reader chooses where to start Sixteen recommendations spanning funding, immigration pathways, employer partnerships, and accreditation make a strong cumulative case, and a lot to hand someone with four minutes between meetings. We grouped them into seven tracks, each with its own page and its own address. A researcher, a prospective employer partner, and a policy adviser now each land on the part written for them. A coalition you could see in a single glance 369 Global spent months building real industry backing for this model, and written on a page that backing reads as one sentence, easy to skim past. The site turns it into a wall of support, so a visitor can count the names for themselves rather than take anyone’s word for the breadth. Alongside it, a partnership path sorts inquiries by intent, so an advocacy request and a general question reach different people. The numbers make the case, the stories make the impact Statistics establish that a problem exists at scale, and a person’s story is what makes a reader care that it does. The report carries several illustrative journeys through the current system, and we pulled them out of the body copy and gave them their own space on the site. The fastest way to explain what a policy would change is to show someone whose life it changes. The Result A movement from Ottawa to the rest of Canada The Ottawa launch was a fixed date, and the site had to be live, fast, and stable on every phone opening it at once. Building on the pre-tested WunderTheme framework put the schedule into structure and navigation rather than foundations, and the print brand carried straight through into the browser. What launched as one event has become an ongoing campaign, with a second event in Toronto and more community engagement ahead, and the site is the one place every new audience starts. Live before the launch Delivered, tested, and stable ahead of the Ottawa date, with no development time spent rebuilding groundwork Bilingual from day one English and French structured in from the start, because a policy resource speaking to all of Canada has to speak both One identity, two formats Typography, colour, and imagery carried from the print report into the web interface Built to keep growing An architecture 369 Global adds to as the campaign reaches new audiences Tell Us About Your Needs Looking to update your digital presence?
