Working with Third Wunder has been a fantastic experience. They are a true partner, collaborating with us to shape projects, solve complex challenges, and implement new features. Their team consistently delivers high-quality work and feels like an extension of our own.

The Mandate

One Sector, Three Separate Websites

Cooperation Canada speaks for more than 100 Canadian international development and humanitarian organizations, convening the sector and shaping the policy that governs it. That standing was hard to see online: the organization’s own site sat alongside two separate program sites, the ARC Hub and Digna, each with its own address and its own slice of the same institutional knowledge. Third Wunder’s mandate was to bring all three into a single platform without losing what made each one useful.

Content & Discovery

A Resource Library Built to Answer Questions

Cooperation Canada’s real institutional asset is the knowledge it gathers from its member organizations: policy briefs, toolkits, annual reports, and submissions spanning everything from anti-racism to humanitarian response. The new library organizes all of it on two layers, first by theme and then by format, and pairs that structure with a search built to understand what a researcher is actually asking rather than just matching keywords.

Browse by theme

Find everything the sector has published on a specific issue, like anti-racism or humanitarian response, in one place

Filter by format

Whether it’s a report, a toolkit, or a case study, filter straight to the kind of document you actually need

AI-enhanced search

a search bar built to surface the right resource from a plain-language question, not just a keyword match
The Job Board

Where the Sector Finds Its Next Hire

The job board carries real postings today, submitted directly by member organizations across the sector, connecting people who want to work in international development with the organizations doing that work. Every posting goes through a moderation queue before it goes live, so what the sector sees reflects real, vetted opportunities.

Events & Community

An Events Calendar That Keeps Itself Current

The events calendar pulls Cooperation Canada’s own events directly from Glue Up, the CRM the organization already runs on, so staff aren’t re-entering what’s already scheduled there. Alongside it sits a running visual record of the sector’s regular gatherings, in photos and video, the kind of detail a static list of dates can’t carry.

Equity & Inclusion

Accessibility and Bilingualism, From the First Wireframe

Equity and inclusion sit at the center of Cooperation Canada’s mandate, and the organization asked for a site that reflected that in how it was built, not just in what it says.

We built every page to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, the same accessibility standard behind all of Third Wunder’s web development work, and WPML runs a French experience, built as a genuine equal to the English one, not a translated afterthought.

Launch & Handoff

A Migration That Kept the Sector’s Search Rankings Intact

Every page across the three legacy sites was mapped to its new home before launch, so years of accumulated search visibility carried over instead of resetting to zero. The build was handed off with training and a private knowledge base built around Cooperation Canada’s specific setup, so routine updates don’t require a developer. The site also moved onto Third Wunder’s own managed WordPress hosting as part of the build, so performance and security are looked after by the same team that built it.

The Result

One Digital Presence, Equal to the Sector’s Reach

Cooperation Canada exists to give a fragmented sector one coordinated voice on the policy that shapes international development work, and its digital presence now matches that mandate instead of working against it. The ARC Hub’s and Digna’s resources live inside the same searchable system as everything else instead of sitting orphaned on retired domains, and the calendar, the job board, and the library are all built to run day to day without a developer in the loop. A simple Looker Studio dashboard now gives the team one place to check resource engagement, newsletter performance, and social reach, without digging through raw analytics.
